Startups have a completely different set of requirements than the Corporate juggernauts they aspire to become.  Speed to market, no up-front capital investment and pay-for-use are things you’re already aware of as you’ve seen the AWS videos.  But what’s missing from that sentence?  Cost, Security and Effectiveness.  These will be driven by the choices YOU make in deployment. 
AWS requires a different thinking in the way we attack the problem.  Properly designed an implemented, the loss of a service, service or region should be greeted with a “So what?”  So, leave your pets behind and lets take an open look how you can leverage AWS
