Fred Briggs is a serial technology entrepreneur from DC. He is the founder of Vektortek LLC which was created as a research, development and manufacturing company which focuses on developing social innovation projects. Utilizing the latest in GSM, GPS, solar and sensor technology Vektortek delivered the lightest self-sustained avian GSM tracking solution to date.  His expertise in technology led him to Nova Labs, a non-profit makerspace in Reston, Virginia where he has served on the Board of Directors. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the DC area Drone User Group. Fred was a lead on the Nova Labs RhinoHawk project which was an effort to develop low cost Drone technology to help stop Rhino Poaching in South Africa. He also teaches Drone courses at James Madison University and Old Dominion University where students learn to develop humanitarian applications such as landmine detection and air quality sensing.

Prior to Vektortek Fred was President& CEO for InRoute Communications, an international telecom start-up where he led a Voice over IP operations.
